About

I studied sculpture, graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee and have continued to develop my practice.  My making includes collage, print and installation. Often materials such as cloth and twigs find their way into my pieces as I find their inherent textural qualities so attractive.

Art making for me is a means of investigating and expressing aspects of life, be that specific themes or something much more internal and instinctive. Engaging with others in the making and sharing of the work is important too.  My intention is to create evocative pieces that offer an opportunity for reflection and refreshment and that somehow connect with the viewer.

I contribute to exhibitions, have completed a number of commissions, enjoy initiating and curating arts events and exhibitions. When the possibility arises, I love to work collaboratively, especially in cross-disciplinary projects.
